The Durkan family has now dedicated this event to the memory of their son Alan, and Janet’s Walk ‘Remembering Alan’ will raise money for local charity Mayo Cancer Support Association at Rock Rose House. There is still time to sign up for this event which urges locals to get behind the initiative and walk, run, or cycle for this great charity cause.

Ballina Family Resource Centre is currently providing a facility for Mayo Cancer Support Association Outreach Services to run a support service in Ballina.  This is available every Tuesday morning in Ballina FRC.  This facility can be used by cancer patients and members of their families who have been affected by cancer.  

Coffee morning/cake sale

A coffee morning/cake sale will be held in Belcarra Community Centre on Friday December 7 from 9am to 2pm in aid of Mayo Cancer Support at Rock Rose House.

Claremorris Chamber Presents the Hollywood Ball

On Friday November 9, Hollywood will come to Claremorris as Claremorris Chambers host The Hollywood Black Tie Ball at the McWilliam Park Hotel. Organised in association with Mayo Cancer Support and as part of the fund-raising campaign for the Claremorris Christmas Lights, this promises to be a glitzy, glamorous affair.
